The Perversion Files is data base list The Boy Scouts of America's collected of ineligible volunteers that participated in the child sexual victimization abuse of the boy in the scouts since the 1920's.
This list was hidden away at the
headquarters from the public,
parents, and law enforcement
until a court order and lawsuit
made it public.
It takes many years to recover and be able to build a home life and function in a work environment. Most victims and survivors never fully recover. For victims that have been in trafficked for a short period, they managed to find there way back and reconnect to who they were and their identity. For those who have been trafficked for many years, they can only try to reconnect, most spend years building a new identity. Geographical location and resources will determine how well the recovery stages will take. Low economic areas lack the resources to fully equip those surviving from Human Sex Trafficking properly to integrate back into society.
The extent of the damage hits every area of the mind, body, and soul which is why it takes many professionals in multiple-faceted areas to assist victims in the recovery. Some include social workers and social assistants, psychologists, counsellors, healthcare practitioners, lawyers and paralegals, educational staff (teachers, principals, school psychologists), child protection staff, public administrators, professionals working on economic empowerment, job placement, and mentors.
Fear and Shame have been a major contributing factor where boys are trafficked. The fear is created by the trafficker with threats of physical abuse and death if they do not follow the abuser’s orders. This phase starts after the grooming stages have taken place and it is too late for the victim to do anything about their circumstances. Fear is also instilled by the many men who pay for sex participate in the act. We tend to hear more cases about girls and women because the numbers are higher. Fear and shame are played out, experienced, and verbalized very differently with girls than boys. Most abused boys carry this burden well into their adult life. The age ranges from 25 to 50 years before an abused boy opens up and share their trauma.
These creations are men who have been dealing with their abuse internally as boys.
